REVIEW of:
 Wedding Peach

Wedding Peach      A Magical Girls show with three heroines, Wedding Peach revolves around Momoko (Wedding Peach), Yuri (Angel Lily), and Hinagiku (Angel Daisy) as they fight to keep love the most powerful force in the universe, while the evil queen Reine Devila vows to destroy all love and let hate rule the universe for all eternity. In order to do this, Reine Devila sends her loyal liason Pluie to replace all the love in the world with hate. Pluie employs a small devil, Jamopi, who can possess people and turn their hearts to evil. Only one force can stop the force of evil, four magical items collectively known as the Sacred Four. When Momoko, Yuri, and Hanigaku call upon their magical item, they don wedding dresses, sprout bouquets of flowers, and become the Wedding Angels! The three Wedding Angels, who can also turn into Fighter Angels should intense fighting arise, must stop Pluie and Jamopi, and ultimately Reine Devila, before the universe is turned to one black, smoldering heap of hate. On top of all this, Momoko, Yuri, and Hinagiku are all after the same boy, Yanagiba-san, head of their school's soccer team. Based on the manga in a monthly Japonese girls magazine, Wedding Peach is an ongoing TV series.         - Kiwi

Comments Can you say "Sailor Moon"? Heh... the early episodes of this series so greatly resemble Sailor Moon that I almost forgot which series I was in fact watching!! Not that it's a bad thing, of course. As far as magical girls shows go, this one isn't great, but isn't detestable either. The plot, of course, is mostly the same every episode, but that is to be expected from magical girl shows. I do like the distinction between the characters, and my favorite character among the three is Hinagiku (Angel Daisy, the green haired one) as she is a bit rude and straight-forward, not something particularly common in magical girl shows. As far as "corny-ness", if you enjoy Sailor Moon then you'd probably also enjoy Wedding Peach. If, however, you just can't stand Sailor Moon, you might want to skip out on Wedding Peach. First of all, I want to say I only watched first 4 episodes, so I’m rating this series only on these four episodes. Even if there’s more to watch, I don’t know if I would continue. This series is for kids, and if it’s not intended to be, then the authors have problems. Unlike them other people who did reviews for KIDS (which will remain unnamed..hint hint..sounds like a fruit), I disagree with him. Only the transformation scenes and the numerous enemy encounters resemble Sailor Moon. Wedding Peach seems to lack the essence which makes Sailor Moon such a popular anime series. It’s lacking the life like character personalities which makes Sailor Moon enjoyable (and for some of you bearable) to watch. Of course that might change as the series goes on, but for now, it stinks. If you’re 5 and under, and don’t understand jack whatsoever about what’s a good anime, then watch it. For the rest of you, I advise you to just sit in the corner and read some dirty mags or ponder about life instead.
