Romeo's Blue Skies
| In the midst of Italy, a young boy named Romeo lives happily with his family and friends. Unfortunately Romeo’s father’s land was purposely set on fire, causing Romeo to leave his beloved home and work as a young chimney sweep. He faces many dangers afterwards such as a shipwreck, encounters with the Wolf Pack, and the hardships of being a chimney sweep. Despite his misfortune, Romeo still has his ferret Piccolo to keep him company and will eventually befriend Alfredo, Angeletta, and many other children. Together, they help each other during bad times and share wonderful events. Perhaps Romeo’s friends might even reveal secrets he though they never they had. Will Romeo ever stop working and lead his former lifestyle? Only time will tell. Romeo’s Blue Skies was based on a European classic. It was produced by Nippon Animation responsible for many other productions of other children’s classics. - Hanako |

| Comments | Wow…After completing the entire series of Romeo’s Blue Skies, I must say that I was totally amazed by this drama. Even though the animation is a bit old fashioned (do pay attention to the wonderful scenery), the plot itself is truly breathtaking and riveting. Unlike most anime I have seen that deal with trivial issues, Romeo’s Blue Skies has profound characters that deal with stark problems and touching moments. I admit, I did have some tears in my eyes at some moments! It’s a bit ironic, considering that this show appears to be a little kid’s story. I just simply adore the character Romeo, and there were many times where his emotions and decisions in life touched me. Most children I see in newer anime shows are bratty >-<. Anyway, I highly recommend this title to any fan willing to watch some fantastic classical anime. Even if you are used to all the new stuff out there, try watching this show. My only problem with this series is that I wish it were a bit longer. | ||
