Favorite Format(s):               Format isn’t all that important to me. I suppose
                                               I’d have to go with long running series, either
                                               continuous plot or sit-com style is fine by me.

I grew up watching just about all the cartoons on television (I still watch lots of American animation on TV by the way). My first serious introduction into Anime was in High School when a friend showed me Akira. The animation and story quality blew me away, but I was a little put off by the gore levels. Shortly after that my friend introduced me to Ranma Saotome and Crew. I was absolutely hooked and knew I had found my niche.

In general I prefer comedies and silliness but I tend to get drawn into anything with a strong plot. For example I really enjoyed Evangelion, Lodoss War, Whispers of the Heart, Akira, Princess Mononoke and many others. I do have a serious weakness for Super-Deformed/Chibi animation (Rayearth, Dragon Half) and anything else that is kawaii. You have been warned. ;) - Toranpu
