Hi there!!
This is Hiroaki speaking. I basically grew up watching anime, since I'm
actually from Taiwan, a country where they pirate a lot of Japanese anime.
Because of this, I find my preferences in anime to be more in line with
those of Japanese fans than those of American fans. Anyways, I tend to
like series with a lot of parodies/funny gags/super deformity (like slayers,
nuku nuku, kare kano); I also like everyday-life action comedies (like
You're Under Arrest), series that make you think (like Evangelion and Serial
Experiments Lain), and stuff by Masakazu Katsura (Video Girl Ai, DNA^2).
Some fighter-girls series like Saber Marionette J and Cyberteam in Akihabara
(but NOT Sailor Moon) are also my favorite. The types of anime I really
can't stand are those really sugary shojo series like Clamp Campus Detectives,
or series that are heavily oriented toward fangirls than fanboys. This
is my first time at reviewing anime; I hope you'll enjoy my reviews! -
Hiroaki
